Barahona, R.D. – En un emotivo acto organizado por Alfalit International República Dominicana Inc. y Cross International, más de 800 personas celebraron su graduación como nuevos alfabetizados, reafirmando el compromiso de ambas organizaciones con la educación y el desarrollo humano en las comunidades más vulnerables del país.
La ceremonia tuvo lugar en la zona sur, impactando de manera directa a residentes de Elías Piña, los bateyes del municipio de Galván y Paraíso, Barahona, quienes culminaron con éxito el programa de alfabetización que les abre nuevas oportunidades de superación personal y profesional.
Durante el evento, también se reconoció el esfuerzo de un grupo de mujeres que completó satisfactoriamente el taller de confección de zapatillas artesanales, una iniciativa que fortalece el emprendimiento femenino y fomenta la autosuficiencia económica.
Asimismo, como parte del apoyo integral a estas comunidades, se entregaron cañas de pescar a hombres y mujeres dedicados a la pesca artesanal, con el objetivo de contribuir al sustento diario de sus familias.
